Jim Heavens Running for State Treasurer

Dyersville mayor Jim Heavens has officially entered the race for state treasurer. Heavens met with the republican caucus and turned in his petitions today. Heavens addressed the Iowa Christian Alliance at the spring kick off on Tuesday, and will make other appearances in the Des Moines area this week as he begins his campaign. Heavens will face Story County treasurer Dave Jamison in the G-O-P primary. The winner will oppose current state treasurer Michael Fitzgerald in this fall's election.
