Program to Focus on Honeybees Thursday

Looking to get out of the house and learn something new? Then come to
the Osborne Nature Center tomorrow, Thursday, June 19, beginning at 11
a.m. for the O.W.L.S. program (Older Wiser, Livelier Souls) and learn
about the fascinating world of honeybees.
Honeybee experts Bill and Louise Johnson will talk from 11 a.m. until 1
p.m. about how to raise bees, collect honey and discuss why so many of
these winged creatures are disappearing from the landscape.
After the program enjoy a wonderfully catered lunch from Schera’s
featuring locally grown food. Cost for the program is $1.00.
Lunch is $6.00 with reservations required.
The Osborne Nature Center is located along Highway 13, just south of
Elkader.
